Smoky Mountain News on the Side of Government Planning to Spray Cruso's Gypsy Moth

Unread post by Forum Member »

The Citizens of Cruso are against the aerial spraying of their community with Splat GMO, a potent pheromone that is proven to stay in a human's system, after a worker attracted gypsy moths to himself more than 13 years afther he had handled the spray.
The article posted below by Smoky Mountain News, wants you to believe the spray is totally harmless, even after they explain, "residents should avoid direct exposure and bring animals inside" and, "if overspray lands on produce, or on vehicles, a simple wash with detergent should be applied". Also, the precise time the crop dusters will start spraying won't be known. And, "not all of the 2,297 acres will be sprayed- only areas with trees". "Pilots will shut off their spray valves over open farmland and bodies of water, including creeks and carefully monotor spray drift". It sounds like Smoky Mountain News is taking the side of the leftist Government trying to force an unwanted spray on the Cruso Community and disregard and discredit the concerns of the citizens of Cruso and Haywood County.
