TWO ASHEVILLE POLICE VEHICLES SET ON FIRE IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS - LYNDALLE AVE
The Asheville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the person or persons who set two marked APD vehicles on fire early this morning.
The Asheville Fire Department responded to a parking lot near the 30 block of Lynndale Ave in the early morning of Aug. 14 to extinguish two police cars that had been set on fire. The unoccupied vehicles were completely destroyed.
APD Investigators are continuing to work with the Asheville Fire Marshalls Office to determine what happened and find those responsible.
The Firestorm Bookstore held an anarchists "convention" this weekend. The bookstore invited anarchists from all over the United States to be involved in seminars encouraging people to be violent. Domestic terrorist groups such as Jane's Revenge, Portland's Rose City Antifa, and the Stop Cop City of Atlanta GA were in attendance and spoke at the convention. 42 vendors were at the convention that the Firestorm Bookstore called Another Carolina Anarchists Bookfair.
The police station off Lynndale Avenue is approximately 350 feet away from the Firestorm Bookstore.
