Low barrier shelter

The proposed re-zoning here should be DENIED by the elected representatives of Waynesville. This re-zoning leaves WAY too much risk of a low barrier mega complex right on South Main Street adjacent to neighborhoods and in a proposed redevelopment area with the South Main project. This rezoning request is NOT GOOD for Waynesville -- only for furthering the enablers of low-income housing, homeless advocates, and drug use enabling entities like Hard Reduction of NC. Regardless of what the Waynesville Planning Director has wiggled in front of the elected representatives, it is the VOTERS that they should respect. No voter wants a huge risk for a blight on our community right on South Main Street right where they have been trying for years to install a low barrier shelter -- which is also referenced in Pathway's strategic plan.

Notice where the discussion from the June 2, 2021 Town of Waynesville Task Force on Homelessness, was headed. Anthony Sutton, Chuck Dickson and the entire Town of Waynesville Board of Aldermen, hired a Sociaist/Marxist college professor from Western Carolina University named Amy Murphy Nugen, to head up this plan to implement LOW BARRIER SHELTERS fueled with crack kits and needles called HARM REDUCTION in our town. In this meeting they plan to bring in speaker Richard Bates, who started the illegal LOW BARRIER SHELTER, " The Bethel House", which is located directly across the street from these five annexed properties, which passed with five votes. Thank you to the three Planning Board members who voted no! Other speakers on their agenda included Judge Letts and his Marxist Pre-Trial release program, Mandy with Haywood Pathway's who are now discussing going LOW BARRIER, and Nicole Kott with her Helping Hands LOW BARRIER MOTEL program that is increasing crime and transient vagrants in Maggie Valley. Thank you to the citizens of Haywood County and Waynesville who stood aganst these Town of Waynesville Aldermen, who were going full stem ahead to destroy our town with LOW BARRIER SHELTERS, HARM REDUCTION and the Pre-Trial Release program. Town Aldermen Anthony Sutton had to recuse himself from the vote to annex the five properties for commercial, governmental use because he owns one of the properties. You can be sure they know exactly what they plan to do with these five properties.
