At the top of the County Commissioners list is the infrastructure project to link Marshall to Mars Hill via 213 with water, sewer and possibly natural gas This will transform Highway 213 into an economic corridor Matt Wechtel states. Questions to ask county commissioners are, will Highway 213 turn into apartments as far as the eye can see, like the ugly mess behind Walmart in Weaverville? How can the county commissioners protect citizens from government housing projects that will lower property values of others? City and water sounds like a great thing until it turns into a nightmare for citizens.
