** Don Smart and Tabitha Ross will be speaking to us tomorrow evening (3/16) about the proposed Haywood County Greenway Plan. The Commissioners voted on (2/6) to move forward with a version of the Haywood County Greenway. Again, the citizens of Haywood County have received little information, as to the details of this massive project that could affect all citizens and property owners in the County. Don and Tabitha are extremely concerned about how this proposed Greenway might affect property rights and crime rates in Haywood County. Please find below current maps, brochures, and the Final Draft for the Greenway in Haywood County: **

** Be watching the Maggie Valley Board of Aldermen Agenda carefully over the next few weeks or months for a potential vote on a Needle Exchange Ban or Regulation Ordinance. See below the Vision Minutes page 12. ** Even though most of the concerned citizens that gather at The Butter Biscuit voted for and worked hard to get all of the existing Republican Commissioners elected in last November's elections, Commissioner Best has decided that she's not interested in speaking to us at The Buttered Biscuit. Please see the e-mail dialogue below:

** Most of the concerned citizens that gather at The Buttered Biscuit voted for and worked tirelessly to help get three conservative Commissioners elected last November, including Commissioner Best. Unfortunately, Commissioner Best is now not willing or interested in speaking to us. Commissioner Best spoke at The Buttered Biscuit last summer and was treated warmly and respectfully, as are all of our speakers. We will keep the door open for her, and hope she'll reconsider at some point in the future. Please see the e-mail communication below:

Hi Jennifer, we would like to invite you to the Buttered Biscuit to speak about issues happening in our county. Economic Development and discarded needles are two of our concerns right now. We have around 250 on our e-mail list and are growing. We want to work with our County Commissioners on issues and at least give you our ideas and opinions. Your constituents love you and we want to be able to have open dialog with our representatives. The only date in April that is filled right now is April 6th. Please let us know when you can come visit. We want to put this Terry Ramey issue behind us and all work together to make this the best and safest county in the region to live. Thank you Jennifer!
