Commissioner Best was supported by the citizens of the Buttered Biscuit meetings and 60 percent of Haywood County voters in the last election. She has been an advocate for public speakers at the County Commissioners meetings and always listened to citizens ideas and concerns. Since the County Commissioners made the mistake of trying to attack Terry Ramey in the Smoky Mountain News and citizens of Haywood County realized Terry Ramey was in good standing with his taxes and should never have been attacked in the first place, the County Commissioners are taking the heat. Especially, Jennifer Best because she only told a half truth during a County Commissioner meeting, stating she got an e-mail about Terry Ramey being delinquent on his taxes but did not disclose the e-mail also said he was on a payment plan in good standing.
