Lying Smoky Marxist New Cory Villaincourt is at it again in his two articles written in the Smoky Marxist News April 26, 2023 editon.

Smoky Marxist News is a Tabloid. Cory Villaincourt writes fake news and doesn't give the reader fact based information because he's so upset the Republicans took the entire County Commissioner board, he set out to conspire a plan to pit the County Commissioners against themselves and the County Commissioners bought right into his plot.

In an article entitled, "Commissioner's tax troubles go deeper than preciously reported", the only negative thing he could find on County Commissioner Terry Ramey was his tax dispute over a closed joint LLC from years ago, from taxes on some equipment included in the Ram Dog auto towing business. The dispute was settled in September, before Terry Ramey was elected in November of 2022 and he made his first payment in September of 2022. The paper settlement statement was written in November of 2022 and the payments on the small sum of $2,500 was set up, with interest at that time. Terry has been, and is in, full compliance with the Haywood County Tax office. If you are in question, you may call the tax department yourself and ask that question

noun
1.
(especially in journalism) the use of exciting or shocking stories or language at the expense of accuracy, in order to provoke public interest or excitement.
"media sensationalism"

If you can stand to read through this boaring piece of garbage, notice how Cory Villaincourt contradicts himself three times about statements made by County Commissioner Terry Ramey at a January 17, 2023 Commissioners meeting. First he says Terry made false claims he set up his payment plan back in September, and what he actually said was, he made his first payment in September, which was an accurate statement . Then Cory told an out-and-out lie when he wrote, Terry said at the same meeting, his taxes were paid up to zero. Finally, he tells the truth, that Terry Ramey said "The county's going to get their money. I'm not trying to beat the county out of thier money." Terry has done what he told the public he would do.

Then Cory Villaincourt tells the BIG WHOPPER LIE, that Commissioner Terry Ramey threatened him. Terry has never threatened anyone at Smoky Mountain News and refuses to speak to them ever again because they make up lies about him. This bunch of liars are dangerous to Haywood County citizens and they have lost the trust of 60 percent of Haywood County voters.

Cory Villaincourt left out the most important part of Commissioner Terry Ramey's comments at the January 17, 2023 meeting, where he explained the reasons for even needing a payment plan. His business fell on hard times and had to close, he had a heart attack during this same time and was raising two children as a single dad. Terry Ramey is all of us. He's a working man and a patriot. He has lived through hard times but he cares so much about the people of this county and what is going on in our local government, he stepped up to tackle the hard job of County Commissioner, and he's doing an excellent job. He is very informed, intellegent and transparent. Call him anytime. He is open to your ideas and concerns.

In a related article in the same Smoky Marxist News edition, entitled, It's an "honor system", Cory Villaincourt goes on an on about the legalities and procedures of making a public records request. The Haywood County government is sick and tired of his public records requests, which took them over 40 hours to compile County Commissioner Terry Ramey's information, from the time he was sworn in on December 8, 2022 to January 8, 2023, and even asking for Terry's sticky notes he may have posted on his refrigerator. The County Tax Office is also sick and tired of his constant e-mail requests on Terry Ramey's taxes after being told over and over again Terry Ramey is in compliance with his tax payment plan, which will be paid off in July 2023.

Also, in this article, Cory Villaincourt calls four citizens conspiracy theorists without giving one single piece of evidence proving his statement. These four people are brave enough to speak the truth in public and inform the citizens of this county what is going on in Aldermen and County Commissioner meetings. More citizens should get involved in the politics of their towns and county because these people are making important decisions that will impact your life and the lives of your family from now on. They make the decisions about how your towns and county will operate and look like in the future. They impact your property taxes and tax value of your property. They impact the safety of you and your family and should reflect the opinion of the majority of the people who elected them. They work for us!
