What are the positive things the current Town of Waynesville City Council Board has done for you? NOTHING! Citizens have had to fight their failed progressive, radical left policy agendas at every town council meeting. They are supposed to be non-partisan, but they endorsed a progressive political Super PAC called Down Home NC, aka People’s Action and their radical political ideology started the day they took office.
Led by the Godfather of the radical left, Chuck Dickson, and the two endorsed by Down Home council members Anthony Sutton and Jon Feichter, Mayor Gary Caldwell blindly followed their far left agendas at every meeting. Council member Julia Boyd Freeman has joined up with the radical left communist witches who HEX and DOX citizens and post they love the saying "ALL COPS ARE BASTARDS"!
The current Town of Waynesville Council doesn’t govern like Moderate Democrats, Independent’s or Republicans. They have a Socialist Agenda like the City of Asheville has done to destroy Downtown Asheville. Crime and vagrants have tripled, half of the police force was defunded and tourism is failing because they encourage transient vagrant drug addiction with low barrier (NO RULES) shelters, supplied with crack kits and needles called Harm Reduction, who even give crack kits and needles to DRUG DEALERS in Haywood County.
These radical left policies were tried by the current Town of Waynesville Council, but the citizens of the town came to council meetings and stood against them. The the only reason our town doesn’t look like Asheville right now is the four candidates for Mayor and Town Council were at meetings fighting for your town, alongside citizens who love the town and resisted Waynesville becoming a little Asheville.
Mayor Henry Foy would be appalled with this entire current board of City Council members. They plan to take you into a radical left, progressive future, like the City of Asheville has done. We must save our Town of Waynesville by voting these radicals OUT in November for the sake of our children and the safety of our citizens.
We’re not safe with this current city council in office. They will try to tell you crime is down, but they have a 0 which the highest crime rating on Neighborhood Scout because of the high level of property crime.
They will try to tell you all the transient vagrants you see walking with backpacks are local people. We know they’re lying to us. We watch the white vans transport them from the low barrier shelter motels, like the Our Place Inn all Cops Are Bastards Motel, funded by our current Town of Waynesville Council with our taxpayer money, back and forth to the Bethel House in Waynesville, to hang out, do their drugs and vandalize our citizens. They give them cell phones and ID’s with a local address, the minute they step off the bus.
The NEW city council will stop this by enforcing laws already on the books in the Town of Waynesville. All the dirty used needles being discarded on the ground is a health hazard, especially for children, and is against the law in the Town of Waynesville. Camping on public property and under bridges is also against the law. If these laws are enforced, transient vagrants will not be encouraged to come, which is how soft on crime cities are being destroyed. Haywood County was the first county in the State of North Carolina to implement the radical left no bail or pre-trial release program. What are the solutions the NEW Town of Waynesville Candidates offer? To make every strategic decision with the well-being and support of the citizens of the Town of Waynesville in mind, unlike the current board who push through their agendas with citizens watching in total SHOCK and OUTRAGE!
The current Town of Waynesville Council actually took away the citizen’s right to object to large scale development in their old established neighborhoods, and implemented an Administrative process of approval to rubber stamp apartments and condos, and now CITIZENS HAVE NO VOICE to object.
The NEW City Council will give you your voice back! We hear you Town of Waynesville citizens! More than 1000 apartments and condos are too many for our town.
The Town of Waynesville has a failed sewer system that took this current administration more than seven years to even get started building a new one, and the cost of construction has increased every year, which will increase resident’s monthly sewer bills. This is another failed policy from the current City Council.
What is the long term goal of the NEW City Council Candidates? To stop following the City of Asheville’s agenda, and start making common sense decisions for our town that will benefit all citizens and protect and preserve everything we love about Waynesville.
These candidates have administrative backgrounds, business backgrounds, law enforcement backgrounds, and in-depth long-term community involvement in all areas of public service.
