Cory Vaillancourt from Smoky Mountain News, got the "Dumbest News Reporter Award" for 2023 for reporting a lady was breaking the law by handing out flyers for "Team Waynesville" during the Town of Waynesville City Council elections in 2023 at the Post Office. Come to find out, the very law Cory claimed the lady had broken, has been being broken for YEARS by the Smoky Mountain News and other publications, because it's illegal for publications of any kind to be distributed or displayed anywhere on the United States Postal Service property, even outside in a distribution box. More news will come to light as these boxes and papers are forced to move off the USPS property in 2024! This should be fun to watch!
