The Town of Waynesville leftist plan to take over railroad right-of-ways for Greenway Paths through your back door, so transient drug addicted vagrants can walk and camp anywhere near your homes. It's called the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and its a radical left plan for building homeless camps filled with needles and crack kits. Your radical left Aldermen and Town Planner Elizabeth Teague is chomping at the bit to gain control of railroad right-of-ways that are equitable and inclusive. "At Rails-to-Trails Conservency we are building a nation connected by trails." Since 2020, how many homeless camps do you see when you look down each side of a railroad track? Tons of trash littered with needles were recently cleaned up next to the Waynesville Middle School from a giant homeless encampment on the railroad tracks. Over 60 needles were picked up and disposed of. Does it sound like a great place for a family to hike? Maybe, if you don't mind needles littering the path, stepping across drugged out homeless people, risk getting mugged, or a few dead bodies along the tracks. Rails-to-Trails is otherwise known as the Needle Highway. Who will be cleaning up the needles left by the radical left Harm Reduction Program who are handing out needles by the handful and crack kits to addicts? In Haywood County they even give crack kits and needles to drug dealers to hand out with their drug sales. Read the article posted below by VERA. Rails-to Trails and the Greenway Path will bring the drug addicted vagrants from the city into the country. They have already taken over Hendersonville and Brevard and many have filed lawsuits because the railroad easements should be given back to the original owner of the land, not Rails-to-Trails. Stand against Rails-to-Trails and the Greenway Path in Haywood County. The majority of our citizens don't want it here. Posted below is the law firm of Stewart, Wald and McCulley who represent landowners whose property has been taken for recreational trails in North Carolina. They have recovered more money from the government in Rails-to-Trails litigation than any other law firm: 380 Million and counting. Stop this land grab in Haywood County before it starts. Stop Rails-to-Trails and the Greenway Path.
