Cory Vaillancourt at Smoky Mountain News tabloid aka National Enquirer engages in Election Interference

Cory Vaillancourt at Smoky Mountain News has interviewed every candidate running for office in Haywood County and has mentioned County Commissioner Terry Ramey's written off, uncollectable personal property taxes, in every single candidate's article, and in over 18 unrelated articles, over the past three years. Terry's written off, over 10-year-old taxes, were on misvalued, old, wrecked cars, that were sitting in his compound yard. Nobody cared about the taxes except for nut case Cory Vaillancourt. He put out signs in Haywood County stating," Don't Vote for Terry Ramey, the Village Idiot". Then he wrote on the bathroom wall at Lowes, " Corey Vaillancourt put the Terry Ramey Signs Out", and "Corey is a CIA operative". We can tell it's Cory's handwriting, because he regularly posts envelopes, he calls his, "hate mail", and it's exactly the same small block print Cory uses. Also, Cory at SMN, never wrote an article about it in the paper. He only wrote on his personal Facebook page; he would like to interview the person that did it, and it was against the law to remove them.

The entire county was outraged at Cory Vaillancourt, because Commissioner Terry Ramey is the most loved commissioner in Haywood County and Cory at SMN is trying to engage in election interference. Cory even interviewed the three tax collector candidates and falsely claimed that every single candidate mentioned Terry Ramy and the unpaid written off, uncollectable taxes. Every candidate told the public, " Cory at SMN never even mentioned Terry Ramey's name to them. That makes Cory a liar and a snake and not to be trusted to interview any future Republican candidates, because Cory is a proven radical leftist. He was arrested for throwing election signs at the door of a Republican candidate for Governor in Georgia.

Since Cory Vaillancourt reported about Terry's uncollected, written off property taxes in more than 18 articles, a benevolent citizen, dropped an envelope of cash in the tax collectors drop box and paid off the written off taxes. The Mountaineer wrote a great article pronouncing the end of the Terry Ramey tax conversation.

Cory at SMN went berserk and wrote a two-page article full of lies. It wasn't against the law or any election rules and even the county attorney Frank Queen said it was full of lies. Cory quoted Bob Hall who worked for Democracy NC and our conservative group, the John Locke Foundation. Bob Hall was only concerned about what the public opinion would be for someone paying off Terry Ramey's uncollectable taxes, but it didn't hurt Terry's reputation at all. He's the most favorite county commissioner we have in Haywood County.

Cory at SMN needs to go back to Journalism school to learn how to write articles stating the facts and to stop trying to influence elections by posting opinion. He even wrote on one candidates Facebook page, " I hope you're not elected", after just interviewing her the prior week.
